The Coliseum Girls 2005 Inferno became the State Cup Champions Sunday with a victory over Stony Brook Arsenal.
The young ladies, although being shut out in the first half vastly outplayed their opponents.
In the second half, Willa Pratt opened the scoring by pushing one past the keeper, followed only minutes later by a strike from Anna Rayhill to make it 2-0. The girls would go on to score 2 more (Logan Cookinham and Willa Pratt) for a final score of 4-0.
With the tournament victory, the girls moved into 16th place in the N.Y. East and earned a spot to compete in the Regional Tournament in Virginia at the end of June.
